About Dr. Tillner
Dr. Tillner is a native Californian who graduated from dental school at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. For his oral surgery training and residency, he completed four years at the University of Illinois and then transferred to the Medical College of Wisconsin to serve as Chief Resident at a level-one trauma center. As a result of his extensive training and experience, he can offer comprehensive Oral and Maxillofacial care to patients with the most challenging cases.
As well as maintaining his private practice, Dr. Tillner is an examiner for the American Heart Association and a speaker at both regional and national meetings. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesia, and board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
About the Practice
Dr. Tillner’s surgery center has been designed with state-of-the-art equipment and the staff has received extensive training. For special cases, Dr. Tillner maintains surgical and admitting privileges and takes emergency calls at both Rady Children's Hospital and Sharp Chula Vista.

Your Initial Consultation
Dr. Tillner starts with a comprehensive examination including the jaw, joints, soft tissues and teeth, and complete the process with a thorough screening for oral cancer. The examination is followed by a treatment conference where they provide all options for treatment, identify your needs and goals, and answer any questions.
