About Dr. Roberts

Dr. Roberts received his dental degree from the University of Southern California, practicing general dentistry for four years before completing his postdoctoral residency in Periodontics. As a Periodontist, he has practiced in the North County area for over 20 years. His professional memberships include the California Society of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration.

About the Practice

Both the staff and Dr. Roberts are committed to creating healthy and beautiful smiles for their patients. When the conditions are right, dental implants are incorporated into the treatment plan and are the optimum choice when replacing missing teeth.

As a health care professional with a background in biology and earth sciences, Dr. Roberts has always had a great concern about the human impact on the earth's resources. Within his practice, he has made it his goal to not only improve his patient's dental health but to consider the health of the environment by implementing "green practices.

Keeping with their commitment to the environment, all mechanical equipment is Energy Star rated, they have switched to instrument sterilization with a steam autoclave avoiding the need to dispose of harmful chemicals, use only natural cleaning products, and transitioned to chartless record keeping reducing their need for paper.

Your Initial Consultation

Dr. Roberts starts with a comprehensive examination including the jaw, joints, soft tissues and teeth, and completes the process with a thorough screening for oral cancer. The examination is followed by a treatment conference where they provide all options for treatment, identify your needs and goals, and answer any questions you may have.

Additional diagnostic material, such as X-rays, models of your mouth, and discussions with other doctors may be needed. You are encouraged to bring a spouse or confidant along to listen to the consultation and make inquiries.
