About Dr. Shnayder
Dr. Michael I. Shnayder is originally from Moscow, Russia. His family immigrated in 1991 to Los Angeles, CA where he grew up and attended the University of California Los Angeles, graduating in 2003. While at UCLA he earned a Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UCLA School of Dentistry. His post graduate studies include a Medical Degree (MD) from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Shnayder completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training as well as his General Surgery Internship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Shnayder is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and holds active licenses in both Medicine and Dentistry. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Creighton University Dental School.
Current professional society memberships include the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Nebraska Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Nebraska Dental Association, the Omaha District Dental Society, and the Maimonides Society.
He is also the director of the SPEAR Study Club in Omaha and sponsors meetings and seminars for local dentists. His hospital privileges include the University Medical Center, Boystown West Research Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and Lakeside Hospital.
About the Practice
Village Pointe Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center started business in February 2011. Since we have opened, we have made it our passion to provide the best care possible to our patients and form an everlasting bond with them.
Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. The surgical staff are experienced oral and maxillofacial surgery assistants, who assist during the surgical procedures and are all CPR certified. Our staff is trained in assisting with outpatient general anesthesia in a state-of-the-art office setting.
Your Initial Consultation
Your first visit includes a thorough examination and evaluation to ensure you have all the facts you need to make an informed decision about your treatment. The doctor will present his recommendations and answer your questions about your treatment options and the various procedures.
If you are missing teeth, dental implants will be incorporated into your ideal treatment plan, as this is the optimum choice for tooth replacement.
