About Dr. Rayner
Dr. Rayner received his DMD from the University of Florida and practiced general dentistry before returning to school to complete a fellowship in Anesthesiology at University Hospital in Jacksonville and then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Duke University Medical Center.
He is the founder, past president, and executive director of the Florida Dental Society of Anesthesiology, has served on the Board of Trustees of the Florida Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Anesthesia Committee of the Board of Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, an honor bestowed upon only 1% of dentists in the United States, in recognition of outstanding service to the profession.
Dr. Rayner specializes in dental implants, utilizing state-of-the-art 3D imaging and computerized treatment planning, minimally invasive CT guided surgery, “same day teeth,” and the latest technology in bone and gum preservation and regeneration, such as patient-derived growth factors to accelerate healing.
He is Board Certified in Anesthesia and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists
About the Practice
Dr. Rayner and the staff at Oral Facial Surgery of Orange Park strive to provide the highest standards of oral surgery and office anesthesiology, while treating patients with compassion and respect in a relaxed, comfortable, and safe environment. Our office is an out-patient surgery facility featuring state-of-the-art surgical and anesthesia technology including CT scan, digital (low radiation) x-rays, and laser surgery.
Dr. Rayner’s extensive training allows him to provide a full range of advanced sedation and anesthesia options, from conscious sedation or twilight sleep to general anesthesia in our surgical suite. In fact, Oral Facial Surgery of Orange Park is the only oral surgery facility in North Florida to offer advanced brain wave (BIS) monitoring during anesthesia to prevent awakening during anesthesia, and Dr. Rayner is the only Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the area to have completed a fellowship in anesthesiology. Additionally, Dr. Rayner’s surgical staff includes an RN and certified anesthesia assistants, assuring every patient the safest and most comfortable experience.
