About Dr. Dorfman
He received his dental degree at the University of Pittsburg where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he also completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. As Chief Resident at Walter Reed Army Hospital, he spent his time repairing and reconstructing some of the all too numerous soldiers severely wounded in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Dr. Dorfman has a special interest in dental implants and related bone grafting. He also has extensive experience with facial cosmetic surgery, facial trauma, facial reconstruction and trigeminal nerve microsurgical repair. He has published articles and book chapters in the professional literature and has lectured on local, national and international levels on Dental Implantology, and Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
He spends his rare times away from the office participating and organizing numerous international outreaches including treatment of children with cleft lips and palates through the charity “Healing the Children”.

Dr. Dorfman practices a full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery including bone grafting and the placement of dental implants. As a practice, he works with his patients general dentist to help achieve the best long term results. Not only is he focused on the restoration of his patient’s smiles, but is also concerned about his patients overall health. When the conditions are right, dental implants are utilized in the patients treatment plan and are considered the optimum choice for replacing missing teeth.
