About Dr. Otte
Dr. Otte grew up in Washington, Illinois, and attended Augustana College in the Quad Cities. He graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine and completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating, Dr. Otte returned to Peoria where he has practiced a for the past 12 years.
Expertise in Dental Implants
Dr. Otte has successfully placed hundreds of implants during his career. He stays up to date on the latest technology and techniques in implant dentistry by frequently attending education seminars throughout the year.
At your first consultation, you will have a diagnostic x-ray, at no charge, with a referral from your General Dentist. He will then perform an examination of the gums and bone around the teeth. Treatment options will be discussed thoroughly with you and your family. Dental implants will be incorporated into the treatment when necessary and are considered by Dr. Otte to be the standard of care for missing teeth.
Leadership in the Dental Profession
Dr. Otte is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Peoria District Dental Society, and the Central Illinois International Team for Implantology Study Club.
Community and Family
Dr. Otte serves as a faculty member of oral surgery for the general practice dental residency program at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
In his off hours, he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, and outdoor activities. He loves volunteering his time coaching his daughter’s traveling softball and basketball teams.
