About Dr. Bourcy
Dr. Bourcy grew up in North Dakota and after graduating from Concordia College in Minnesota; he attended dental school at the University of Minnesota. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Minneapolis to take his graduate training in Periodontics, again, at the University of Minnesota. While looking for a practice to join, he and his wife decided to return where the Navy had stationed him earlier and a place they really wanted to call home, San Diego.
Being involved in this practice has given Dr. Bourcy the opportunity to give back to the community through dentistry. As a volunteer member of the UCSD Medical School Faculty, he donates time in the Free Clinic, where he can help by treating low-income families. “The best part of volunteer work for this and other charitable organizations? Helping the kids, hands down,” he says.
Dr. Bourcy also gives back through Continuing Education. Not only is the practice a Continuing Education provider, licensed to both bring in experts to give educational courses, but they also work with other dentists in the community and train them and their office staffs in their areas of expertise, such as periodontal plastic surgery and topics involving dental implants.
