About Jose Torio, DMD, MD
Dr. Torio graduated from Princeton University with a degree in biology. Upon graduation, he was involved in neurology research at Tufts Medical School prior to starting his dental and medical training. He obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Torio completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and pursued five years of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, serving his final year as Chief Resident at the Mass General as well as at Boston Children’s Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. His residency training included two years of general surgery as well as dedicated anesthesia training under both Anesthesia and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery departments.
A Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Torio is also a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His active involvement in numerous professional organizations includes serving in leadership positions, such as past President of the Greater Nashua Dental Society. He is also a member of the New Hampshire Dental Society and the New Hampshire Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition to private practice, Dr. Torio is a member of the hospital staff at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
