About Dr. Scheideman

Dr. Scheideman is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.  He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the highly acclaimed Parkland Hospital after receiving his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry.  Dr. Scheideman has been practicing in Fort Worth for the past few decades.  He is affiliated with several hospitals in the area, including Baylor All Saints Hospital, Cook Children’s Medical Center, and Fort Worth Surgery Center.

Leadership in the Profession

Throughout his academic and professional career, Dr. Scheideman has been recognized and honored throughout his academic and professional career for numerous achievements.  Some of these accomplishments include, membership in the Baylor College of Dentistry Odontological Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon – Honorary Dental Society.  He is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.

Serving his profession in a leadership role, Dr. Scheideman is a Past President of the North Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Texas Dental Association.  He has also served as a member of the TCU Alumni Board and the TCU Pre Health Advisory Board and is an ex officio member of the TCU Board of Trustees.

Dr. Scheideman has published several important articles in the professional journals and has been recognized for an outstanding presentation on “Osseointegrated Implants” at the Fort Worth District Dental Society.

Community and Family

Actively involved in the community, Dr. Scheideman’s many contributions include leadership roles with Tarrant County Young Life, the Fort Worth Opera Board, the Booster Club at All Saints Episcopal School, and K-Life Fort Worth.  A Texas Christian University alumnus, he is now the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for their sports department.  When he has some spare time, he enjoys bicycling, and flying his Baron airplane.

Dr. Scheideman and his wife of 39 years have three children.  They are also the proud grandparents of four beautiful children and their growing family is the joy of their life.
