About Dr. Runyon
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Dr. Runyon earned his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry. He then completed a program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Fort Benning in Georgia. After four years at Tripler Army Medical Centers’ Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, he began practicing at the Fort Hood Clinic, eventually earning the position of Chief of Staff.
Following several years of service in the U.S. Army, he joined the practice in 2002. His hospital affiliations include Baylor All Saints, the Forth Worth Surgery Center and Cook Children’s Medical Center.
He furthered his advanced graduate training as an Executive Officer in the Army Office Advance Course, the Officer in Charge, Buedingen Dental Clinic, Frankfort, Germany, and was the Brigade Dental Surgeon at Camp Casey, South Korea. He has completed part one of his commitment to achieve Diplomate status in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Runyon is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Texas Dental Association.
Activities and Interests
Dr. Runyon enjoys many outdoor activities like running, biking and skiing. He also is involved in more extreme sports, which include mountaineering and skydiving.
