About Dr. Yang
Dr. Brian Yang has earned exceptional professional credentials; obtaining his Bachelors of Arts degree from University of California, Berkeley, majoring in molecular and cellular biology. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from University of California, San Francisco, where he completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency and Anesthesia training.
Expertise in Dental Implants
Dr. Yang has successfully delivered life-changing treatment solutions for accident victims, cancer survivors, and individuals with other significant facial and oral traumas, including missing teeth. He is absolutely passionate about his patient’s oral and facial reconstruction and applies his extensive clinical training and experience in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery such as dentoalveolar procedures, tissue grafting, dental implant surgeries, outpatient anesthesia, oral pathology, and oral and maxillofacial trauma/reconstruction.
Leadership in the Dental Profession
Dr. Yang is a dedicated dental educator and believes he has a responsible role in mentoring the newest generation of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. As such, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCSF, teaching post-doctoral residents and pre-dental students dentoalveolar and oral and maxillofacial trauma surgery at San Francisco General Hospital.
Dr. Yang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In pursuit of continuing professional development in service to his patients, he also holds memberships in many professional organizations including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the California Dental Association.
Community and Family
Dr. Yang balances his professional life with his devotion to his family through spending time with them in a number of ways. During his time off, he can often be found with the wind in his hair and the sun on his face as he truly enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and snow skiing. Dr. Yang is also very interested in the culinary arts and is often creating meals in his family’s kitchen or back yard experimenting with cooking, as well as dining often in local restaurants.
