About Dr. Mendenhall
Dr. Mendenhall is Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. HIs passion for oral surgery can be seen in the way he treats patients with exceptional care and personalized attention. Dr. Mendenhall also volunteers his time to support underserved populations in the area. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honrs for professional and academic excellence and he has mentored dental students as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the University of Oklahoma dental school.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry, where he also received a Certificate of Recognition of Distinguished Achievement in Oral Surgery. After graduating with Special Distinction at the top of his class, he continued his education by completing his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency, also at the University of Oklahoma. As a graduate student, he conducted research facial recontruction and facial bone implant technology.
Dr. Mendenhall maintains membership in a number of professional associations and societies at the local, state and national level. He is an active member of both the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, as well as the American Society of Dental Anesthesiology and the Oklahoma Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Community and Family
During his personal time, Dr. Mendenhall can often be found in the saddle. He is proud to be actively involved with the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. His riding skills and knowledge of cutting led him to win a cutting championship at the 2013 Kansas Derby. His family participates in the Oklahoma high school and junior high school's Little Britches Rodeo. Dr. Mendenhall and his wife, Leslie have three sons and a daughter.
