About Dr. Williams
Prior to pursuing his education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Williams graduated from faith-based Oakwood University with a Natural Science degree. While completing course work towards a Masters in Healthcare Administration through the Loma Linda Unviersity School of Public Health, he was introduced to dentistry and applied to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Upon immediate acceptance, he chose to pursue dentistry as his career. Dr. Williams completed his post-graduate residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and King-Drew Medical Center and was named Resident of the Year for both 2009 and 2010.
Dr. Williams served as an investigator in numerous research studies at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry for over two years. He also co-published articles that discussed the Clinical Application of Bone Morphogenetic Protein and its benefits in Maxillofacial Surgery.
An active member in numerous professional organizations, Dr. Williams is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and a Fellow of the Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology. He also maintains membership in the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Tri-County Dental Society, and the National Association of Seventh Day Adventist Dentists.
Dr. Williams is a firm believer in community service and finds as many opportunities as possible to give back. He is mentor and an avid promoter for the profession. He is also committed to sharing his dental expertise and has participated in several outreach trips to provide dental care in Belize, Costa Rica, Dubai, and Mexico. Dr. Williams is so passionate about treating the underserved that he commits one weekend very quarter of dental service.
